2.11.09 Knit Night Recap

Just for those of you who don’t know what you are missing. . .topics discussed last night!

  • The inherent difficulties in finding a man to date when the only places you frequent are the bars that your friends with an “alternative” lifestyle.  (Side note, it really is too bad because these guys are usually perfect except, well, they’re just not that into you, are they?)
  • The potential for “feel my fiber” to become a new pick-up line.
  • How crazy people can seem perfectly normal because they will say normal things all the time.  Each one of their beliefs sounds perfectly normal, except most other people wouldn’t draw the same logical conclusions from a set of beliefs that the crazy person does.
  • My new dog, and the potential for harvesting her fur for yarn production.
  • Going to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival this year.
  • How to prove that your friends are hiding a milestone birthday from you.
  • Inappropriate design elements in knitwear, which inevitably leads to. . .
  • Inappropriate bobble placement, which of course leads to. . .
  • How to spin tassels like the “pros”.

So you don’t know what you might learn at one of our knit nights!  A valuable skill to help you through today’s tough economy?  Maybe not, didn’t the adult entertainment industry try to ask Congress for a bailout?  But, if you’re good and you practice, maybe you’ll get your share of the bailout money!  😉

Also, there was a great demonstration of how to pick up stitches with a crochet hook!
