Finally A Break From Dreariness

The weather this June on the East Coast has been absolutely craptastic.  I’ve heard of June gloom out in California, but most of June is usually pleasant around here.  I’m actually worried about my plants.  The last time we grew our own tomatoes and it rained so much they didn’t taste very good.  Well, today the sun actually peaked through the clouds for a short amount of time – not enough to say it’s a sunny day, though.  I decided to take some pictures of my plants.

First, I’ve got pictures of my crookneck yellow squash plant:

I think this plant has been in the ground for about two weeks, and look how big it is already!  The zucchini might be more impressive:

My Juliet tomato plant is also doing well.  I’ve got pictures showing how much it has grown.

Here’s a picture of some blossoms on the plant:

And here’s an artsy photo of some hairy new growth on the plant (it might look better when shown full size):

And finally, here are some pictures of the herbs that we’ve planted:

We do also have a parsley plant, but it’s not doing so well.  And one of these days I’ll figure out how to make one of those photo montages to save some space on the screen.
